PAGB Inter Club PDI Championships 2024
In each Round of 8 we could select a maximum of 2 per person and only 2 nature images.Round 1 was preselected by the Selection Committee and gave us an excellent start with a total of 94 and 13= of 37 clubs.
The Selection Committee had shortlisted some for Round 2 and based on the scoring to date we made our selections. We were disappointed at some scores finishing with 90 and 27=. On aggregate we had scored 184 and we placed 22=.
Further tactics were discussed on which 4 we would reuse in the Plate Final. Top scorers of 13 and 14 plus two were obvious along with 2 of the 12s as we felt we had other nature images which were more likely to score a 12 than the open images
We scored a constant 12 with Athena's 13 rising to 14 and my 14 to 15 (1 of 4 in the Plate Final).
We totalled 99 and were placed 8= of 27 clubs. It was won by Arden with 104.
This is an excellent result for Epsom and we should be very proud of our achievement.
In addition to the club results each Judge selects an award and together they award a PAGB Gold Medal to the Best Image. It was awarded to Rosemarys image The Squash - Exit Left.
